The master relay coil in this model is energized when conditions are normal.
The master relay will trip on a loss of 1 or 2 phases and also on total power loss.
This model is recommended for protection of pumps, compressors, ventilation fans, etc. or any individual or group of motors on a common feed.
The master relay coil in this model is de-energized when conditions are normal.
The master relay will not trip on total power loss.
A total power loss will not affect the model PND since the master relay is normally de-energized. This characteristic helps eliminate the possibility of nuisance tripping during storms and power outages.
The PND model is recommended for applications involving a main breaker or bolted pressure switch which must be manually reset after an outage occurs.
The functionality of each Phase-Guard can be extended and fully customized with a variety of different options and features. These options can be purchased at the time of the original order or they can be purchased at a later date and activated on the Phase-Guard by using the Admin Software.
